GERMANY FACTS

15.04.2020                     WALT:create a quality blog post that explains our learning

THIS TERM HUIA WHANAU HAVE BEEN READING A BOOK ABOUT REFUGEE   BY ALAN GRATZ. TODAY I MADE A POSTER  ABOUT GERMANY OUR TEACHER MISS FLEET PUT IT ON OUR CLASS SITE IN AN AUDIO BOOK OR JUST AN  NORMAL ONLINE READING  BOOK BECAUSE OF THE CORONA VIRUS WE HAVE TO DO OUR WORK ONLINE AND POST IT TO OUR BLOG, EVERY DAY WE HAVE TO LISTEN OR READ A CHAPTER OF THE BOOK (REFUGEE). I READ THE FIRST CHAPTER TODAY AND IT WAS ABOUT A BOY NAMED  JOSEF HE WAS FROM GERMANY. WE HAD A CHOSE TO MAKE A VIDEO , SLIDE SHOW OR A POSTER I CHOSE THE POSTER BECAUSE  IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A LOT FASTER AND A LOT EASIER TO DO. DID YOU KNOW ONLY ONE THIRD OF GERMANY IS STILL COVERED  IN WOODLANDS AND FOREST THERE ARE ALSO ABOUT 21,00 CASTLES IN GERMANY.
                                                                  THE END

  1. Kia Ora Manaia-Jae, I've really enjoyed reading through your blog post and taking a look at your poster. What tool did you use to create your Germany poster?

I wasn't aware that 1/3 of Germany is woodlands and forest. I wonder how that compares to New Zealand? I also didn't realise there were so many castles in Germany. 21,000 castles sounds like a lot! When you were doing our research, what was the most interesting thing you found out? Did you take a look at any of the castles? What do they look like?
