x

This term, huia whanau have been learning about maori gods. the first  thing we did was a bus stop activity to find out what we already knew. we then read the creation story and retold it in our own words in a creative way. i chose to work collaboratively with Imogen to make a recreation on we video .  We identified some important Atua (Gods) :Rongo-ma-tane, Maui, Ruaumoko, Tuamatuaenga, Tawhirimatea, Tangaroa. as a class we then started working on collaborative art were we coloured in a section of the maori god's  (ART) . On Wednesday we learnt about the different feelings and emotions, that the maori gods have, then miss fleet tough us a song about the maori Auta.
how much do you know about the maori gods ?

  1. Tēnā koe Manaia-Jae. I really struggled to read your post as it appears there are multiple pieces that overlay one another. Are you able to have a look at your post to check your readers can read this post?

What I did read, I really enjoyed. I noticed you mentioned you worked collaboratively with Imogen to create a wevideo. How did this go? Were you girls successful? What has your favourite part about our Te Ao Māori learning been so far? Who is your favourite atua and why?
