This term, huia whanau have been learning about maori gods. the first thing we did was a bus stop activity to find out what we already knew. we then read the creation story and retold it in our own words in a creative way. i chose to work collaboratively with Imogen to make a recreation on we video . We identified some important Atua (Gods) :Rongo-ma-tane, Maui, Ruaumoko, Tuamatuaenga, Tawhirimatea, Tangaroa. as a class we then started working on collaborative art were we coloured in a section of the maori god's (ART) . On Wednesday we learnt about the different feelings and emotions, that the maori gods have, then miss fleet tough us a song about the maori Auta. how much do you know about the maori gods ?

Respect to me is using polite langue like thank-you and no thank-you when talking to somebody. listening to what they have to say, its also not hitting or punching people. not talking over the teacher or answering back because the have taken time out of there day to help you with your learning or to take care of you . help people when needed like when they have fallen over and hurt them self and asking if they need help to carry something that they can't and when at a friends house greeting there family introducing your self and taking off your shoes at the door.
